Officials Code of Conduct
- I herby pledge to be positive towards the club and accept responsibility for my participation by following these rules of conduct.
- I will encourage good sportsmanship from players, coaches, fellow officials and parents at every game and practice by demonstrating good sportsmanship.
- I will try and attend every practice and game that I can to show support.
- I will do my best to listen and learn from other officials.
- I will treat fellow officials / coaches / players and spectators with respect regardless to race, sex, creed or abilities and I will expect to be treated accordingly.
- I will use my role as an official to try and keep the environment free from drugs, tobacco and alcohol and expect adults to refrain from their use.
- I will encourage parents to be involved with the club in some capacity because it’s important to us.
- I will try and do my best within the club.
- I will remember that this is an opportunity to learn and have fun.
- I will show good sportsmanship by not showing a personal desire to win.
- I will be within my power to remove ANY PLAYER from the pitch if they are not adequately dressed for the game of hockey i.e. shin pads / gum shield etc.
