• Excellent results for the Junior section
Treasurers Report
• Current Account - £9,103
• Building Society - £1,869
• Shares (250) - £2862
• There are still outstanding membership fees for the 2005/06 season.
• Otherwise, there is a much higher surplus of £4354.31 this year, which is due to all the hard work put in throughout the season. If we keep it up, we could see ourselves with a clubhouse in the not-so-distant future!
• Mark offered a vote of thanks to Terry for all his hard work as Treasurer.
Election of Officers
• The following officers were duly elected:
• Chairman - Nigel Williams
• Honorary Secretary - Louise Ditton
• Treasurer - Terry Coughlin
• Club Captain - Alan Higgins
• Fixtures Secretary - Nigel Williams
• Social Secretary - Mike Higgins
• Mens 1st Team Captain - Stuart Davies
• Mens 2nd Team Captain - Mark Short
• Mens 1898 Team Captain - Alan Higgins
• Ladies 1st Team Captain - Carole Price
Incentive Scheme
• Members are reminded that Committee positions will hold an incentive next season - this will be confirmed when the 2006/07 committee meet in May.
Training
• The coaching committee has a proposal to put forward that will cover training sessions from August until December. It has been checked by a Level 4 Coach and good feedback has been received. It is easy to use so that the Level 1 coaches and any other experienced players in the Club will be able to put the sessions into practice.
Fees for next season
• There will be no change to the fees for the 2006/7 season.
• If players do not pay their membership fee, they will not be able to play.
AOB
• There is the possibility of the ladies playing in a friendly league arranged by Portsmouth & Southsea. This could be on a Saturday or a Sunday. This would be ideal for players who do not get a league game at the weekend, and also for any junior players who would like to step up.
• Mark will be stepping down from the position of Kit Officer - anyone interested?
• Tracy needs a new manager for the Girls team - please let her know if you are interested.
• Mike offered a vote of thanks to Stu Blower and Kate who are stepping down from their positions.
