Previous Minutes - Matters Arising
• Nigel has spoken to Kim Upstill regarding the situation of the Ladies teams. The 2nd team will play out the remainder of the season, as at the time of writing there is only 3 games left. He will phone her at the end of March to discuss dropping one team - if we continue with just the 1st team, they will play in the Division the team rightly belongs in at the end of this season.

Correspondence
• AJ - Hoping to re-arrange the 1st team fixture against Southampton to the 1st April - Terry to confirm pitch booking.

Treasurers Report
• Current Account - £9,887
• Building Society - £1,858
• Shares (250) - £2,81
• There is a further invoice for astro pitch fees to be paid.
• Membership fees are still filtering through, especially those paid by standing order. The account number on the standing order form on the website is incorrect and will be amended by Ian.

Club Captains Report
• Nothing to report.

Team Reports
• Men 1st - Seem to be a different team, as they are finally producing some good results. They drew against Alton 1-1 and then beat Poole 4-1 and Petersfield 1-0. They are currently 5th in the table.
• Ladies 1st - Are still having problems fielding a team and finding umpires. They lost against Aldershot & Farnham 3-1 and Basingstoke 1-0 but had a great result against City of Portsmouth, beating them 5-0. Unfortunately, the team is still bottom of the division and are expected to be relegated to Division 3 next season.
• Men 2nd - Are hoping that they have avoided relegation but it will be a close end to the season. They lost to Yateley 2-0 but then had three great results beating Fordingbridge 3-1, Petersfield 7-3 and local rivals Fareham 2-1. They are currently sitting 8th in the table.
• Ladies 2nd - Are struggling with the same problems as the 1st team - the match against Basingstoke was abandoned due to injury and they then drew against West Meon 1-1. Despite this, they are mid-table with three games to play.
• Men 1898 - Are still not doing well. They have lost their last four matches against University of Portsmouth, Andover, City of Portsmouth and Chichester Centaurians. Relegation is inevitable.
• Juniors - The Minis played very well at Chichester. The U8 team won 1, drew 1 and lost 2, the U10 A team drew 3 and lost 2 and the U10 B team drew 1 and lost 3. The girls unfortunately lost to Trojans 7-1 on a rainy day. The U16 boys beat Fareham 2-0 but then lost against Southampton 7-2. They played Camberley in the cup and won 3-1 - through to the next round! The U14 boys A team unfortunately lost to City of Portsmouth in their Cup match 9-1 but they went on to beat Salisbury 10-1 in their last league match and are unconfirmed league champions - well done!! The U14 boys B team played Andover and won 8-3. They have one more match to play against Havant, which they must win to become league champions. Good luck!

CDO Report
• Nothing to report.

ULO Report
• Steve wanted to reiterate that his role is not to find team captains their umpires for the weekend matches. There is a list of club umpires available and he will do his best to point people in the right direction.

Social Sec. Report
• Andy Houston is to help Mike out with the Social Secretary duties. They will contact the Rugby Club to check availability of holding the end-of-season presentation evening on the 19th May.

Training/Coaching
• There has been good coaching each week, although lack of support. There are, however, a few members keen to do coaching courses. The next coaching meeting will be on the 7th March.

AGM/Presentation Evening
• A reminder that the date of the AGM this year will be the 25th April. Any agenda items should be put forward to Nigel Williams and current committee members should let Nigel know whether they will be standing for their positions next season. Kate to book the Alverbank.
• Any shields/trophies should be returned to Team Captains ASAP.

Club Officers/Roles
• The Club Incentive scheme was discussed further and will be put forward to members at the AGM. Please can all Club Officers e-mail Mike with a list of their current duties.

AOB
• Ian will be going travelling in April and will be away until the end of the year - he will therefore need someone to help out with the running of the website. Shorty has volunteered - anyone else who is interested in helping, please contact Ian via e-mail.
• AJ has an entry form for the Islanders Tournament in May if anyone is interested in entering a team.
• Ian & Mike have managed to obtain sponsorship from Sportsplan - you may have noticed an advert on the GBHC homepage! For every 100 impressions, they will donate £5 to the club.
• If you wish to purchase more kit, please give your completed form and money to Shorty ASAP. This will be the last order for the season.

NEXT MEETING: 21st March 2006 at the Alverbank Hotel 19:00 for 19:15 start
