Correspondence
• Positive feedback from Newtown Primary School in regards to Tracy’s ‘taster’ sessions with Gosport Sports Partnership.
• There will be a young leaders course in October half term, a level 1 coaching around April / June time and a level 2 coaching course will be organised later in the year for those interested - Tracy
• In August, Euro Hockey championships take part in Manchester
• England affiliation - Luke to check details are up to date
Treasurer’s Report
• Account - £13,734
• Building Society - £1858
• Shares are about £2800
• Astro paid.
• Astro fee have gone up, about £30 an hour for Juniors, £40 for adults
• The last 2 weeks of August the college is closed. Wednesdays will now be Juniors, Thursdays 7 - 9 for all adults
Fixtures
• Friendly’s are sorted though 15th September is free for all teams. Possibility other clubs may be interested
• Junior fixtures still to come through
ULO Report
• Costs for umpires for the first team have changed. Payments to be in advanced
• Steve, hopefully will be able to watch level one umpires to adjudicate their levels
Junior Report
• A good weekend with the girls coming 4th out of 8 teams and the Minis team coming 2nd out of 16 teams. The Minis team only lost one game which was the final - Well done to them.
• Stix Day - 22 children came along, was a long but successful day. Another will be planned for about Oct/Nov time after Tracy has been to local schools again
Islanders
• £280 is still outstanding from Matt Lewis - Luke to chase up with some payment of this outstanding balance.
Open day
• 1st September - Like previous years. Junior am, Adults PM. There will be a tuck shop open all day
• Alan Walker to be contacted for loan of ball machine
• Possible social in the evening - Need to ask what members want to do
AOB
• Club first - File has gone to England Hockey. It was proof read before being sent off. Just some minor adjustments. A four year plan (juniors) was added in regards to training, including skills days. This was then broken down to a season planner. Adults need to be involved on Thursday nights - Coaches need plan and first aid kit needs to be available pitch side.
• Tracy currently working with the council on a play scheme teaching hockey. She will be starting sessions in schools again next term with a festival in November. She then hopes to go into schools later for longer sessions
• Ady creating poster to attract more members - specifically for the ladies team
• Salisbury festival has been cancelled. Ady to see about setting up some mixed games on the 25th August, but needs pitch as St V unavailable.
• Ady interested in useful coaching resources possible downloadable material from internet
• Ady going to contact all female members on club list for availability for playing next season
