Junior section Stix day
- 18 Children turned up for Stix day. This was a bad day for the weather but all 18 had fun. It was discussed that this Stix day was close to the last, so for the future the Stix day would run about Easter time and another would replace the Open day for the Juniors.
Open day and fixtures
- Fixtures have come through for the adult teams. Times and dates have been checked and will be sent back to Hampshire. These have also been confirmed with St Vincent.
- The Open Day will be on Saturday 6th September. It is believed that the first team may be playing a friendly from 2pm. If this happens the time table for events will be
- 9 – 12 Juniors session
- 12 – 2 Adults not involved with the afternoon game and any Juniors wishing to stay play a mixed game
- 2pm onwards – First play, all welcome to watch and support
ULO Report
- A new code of conduct has been issued regarding Red card and MMO regulations and a new disrepute Offence regulation.
- It is important for players to not that: A captain can be yellow carded for any offence a spectator may give to the umpire although a captain can nominate another player to go of the pitch. This can also work in reverse – A spectator who may be watching, then playing later or play for a club can receive a red card for the offence, instead of the captain getting a yellow. This obviously has severe consequences on your playing for a team. Please can captains make sure all players are aware of this situation as it affects all parties.
AOB
- Bayhouse planning application on their possible sports complex was not put in due to PFC putting theirs in on the same evening. The plan will be submitted for approval in the autumn (probably September).
- In regards to the Daedalus site, we have not heard anything from the parties involved.
- The Open League structure staring 09/10 has been published. This is available on the south Hockey League website www.south-league.com. The teams need to be as high as possible in their leagues next season to secure their place in their league, if not be promoted.
- There are 2 first aid kits outstanding from the minis and u12s. Please can these be returned to Paul Webb
- Club 1st – 3 things needed amending. Peter Beard helped Tracy amended the 3 things that needed changing
- The plan was out of date – Date changed
- Child protection plan needed more information
- It was noted our juniors were not sent on an umpiring course and
- why was this. We noted why the juniors had not been on this particular course but had been on another and plus this course had not been available.
- Hants youth games
- Girls came 7th out of 8
- Mixed came in 4th place, losing out on flicks
- Alive and Kicking event – Lots of leaflets handed out. We are hoping for new members from this.
- Nigel looking at the 5 year plan and amending. This will hopefully be ready for October
Next meeting Tuesday 23rd September.
