Previous minutes – actions, matters arising
- Please can captains make sure first Aid kits are returned to Paul Webb Via Tracy Webb, allowing Paul to sort through them ready for the new season. If in the future once kits are returned to teams, you are in need of new equipment, this must be done through Paul, not yourselves.
Correspondence
- Gosport and Fareham development meeting on Tuesday 8th. The letter included a leaflet on sport in the local area which gets sent out through schools. We are looking into advertising the skills day and open day in the future edition.
- England Hockey AGM being held in Solihull.

Fixtures
- Men’s 1st won 4 -3 against Portsmouth and Southsea away. Won 2 – 1 against Poole home. Drew 1 – 1 against Tadley away. Won 8 – 4 against Eastleigh. They have come 2nd in the league and only missed top spot by the goal difference of 1. They will be promoted.
- Men’s 2nd Drew 1 – 1 against City of Portsmouth away. Lost 0 – 1 against Portsmouth and Southsea home. Drew 1 – 1 drew against Wimborne away. Lost 2 – 3 against Haslemere home. The seconds ending their season 6th in their league.
- 1898’s Lost 0 – 4 against Petersfield home. Lost 5 – 2 against United services away. Lost 6 – 1 against Bournemouth 4 home. Lost 9 – 2 against university of Portsmouth away. Won 7 -1 against university of Portsmouth home. 1898s sit 11th in their league, second from bottom and it looks like they will be relegated.
- Ladies Lost 4 – 1 against Eastleigh. Drew 1 – 1 against Winchester 2. In a friendly they won 4 -1 to Havant Haymakers. The ladies have finished their season in 7th place.
- U12s have not played.
- Girls and boys teams have 2 games left.
- U8s are unbeaten.
- U10s won 2 drew 2 and lost 1.
ULO Report
Coaching
- The club are looking into getting a level 3 coach for next season as a club coach. They could then coach once a month giving ideas to the other coaches in the club for the further 3 sessions.
AGM / Presentation evening
- 9th April – Pre AGM. This will be at the glasshouse in St Vincent’s. Please let Nigel know if you are standing or not in your position next season.
- 24TH April – AGM St Vincent’s, Glass house.
- Presentation evening – 10th May. We are currently looking for other alternative venues for the presentation night, which will allow us to have food during the evening. Once a venue is booked, correspondence to the evening will be released.
AOB
- Skills day. 10th May 10 – 12.
- Club 1st Visit is imminent.
- Ralph is retiring. Any donations towards a gift will be gratefully received from adults and children. Please send contributions to Captains, members of the committee or Tracy
- Thursday nights will continue though members will need to pay £2 towards the hire of the pitch. This will continue to the first Thursday in August when coaching resumes. There was a request that we set up a tournament. This is fine but will need to be organised by someone.
- Please can any coaching equipment used on Thursday nights please be returned.
- Ladies have been offered a friendly by Havant.
