Gosport Borough Hockey Club (GBHC) gives young people the opportunity to take part in and enjoy the sport of hockey. There are teams for men, women and also juniors allowing people from age 10 and upwards to take part in local matches at various levels around Hampshire.
As of the Thursday just gone, the Thursday night Training Session will be a pay to play night, this will continue over the summer period (keep an eye here for when training for real will start again).
It will cost £2 for the two hour session, everyone who turns up will be split into teams (how many teams will depend on how many people turn up), and games will be played.
All are welcome for what should be an enjoyable night!
A mailing list has been set-up (although it only has a few members at the moment). Over the next few weeks you may receieve an email asking to join the mailing list.
We have set-up the mailing list to help communication within the club.
If you don’t get an email asking you to join, you can request to join manually (you can do this from the side bar on the website).
In general the weekend was quite successful, the Mens 1st XI won (evein if they did make a meal of it, but lost out on winning the league by one goal), the Ladies 1st XI won against Havant Heymakers in a friendly. The Mens 2nd XI drew against Wimbourne Wayfarers 2’s. And the Mens 1898 lost against Bournemouth 4’s.
The February Committee Minutes have been added to the site.

The results are in!
Most people think the new sites it Excellent, apart from one sourpuss (who repeatedly voted that the site could be improved, we know who you are, please go away).
If anyone has any ideas about improvements we can make, or content we can add, please let me know. I will eventually upload some photos, I just keep forgetting to take the CD with them on into work (also if anyone has any photos they want on the site, get them to me somehow).
Loading ...A mixed weekend in general for the club. The Mens 1st XI only managed a draw against Tadley, although they are still heading the league (on goal difference). The Ladies 1st XI drew against Winchester 2’s. The Mens 2nd XI lost against Portsmouth & Southsea 2’s. The Mens 1898 lost against United Services 2’s.
A mixed weekend for the club, a win, a draw and two losses.
All training next week, the week starting 18th February, has been canceled.
This is due to the work being carried out to fix the power issues that St Vincent have been having, which have led to only half the flood lights being used.
