Gosport 3-1 COP 2s (friendly)

A return friendly leaving a chance for a few to play good hockey and for others to go Christmas shopping…. So it turned out to be 10 v 10 at St V as neither squad managed to muster up the full compliment.
Early exchanges seemed pretty even, with maybe the home side edging things. However, a quarter of the way into the game and Gosport struck. A third PC saw Gaynor Toms execute a clean strike into the back of the City goal. With additional confidence the home side began to boss the game with other chances being spurned. Half time 1-0.
The second half got under way in a similar vein. The whites continued to hold the upper hand as more opportunities came and went. Eventually with about 50 mins on the clock a driving run from Gaynor to the baseline was slipped back for the improving Lou Brackstone to sweep home from the P spot (GOAL 2-0). Two minutes later and roles were reversed as Lou turned provider, with Gaynor sweeping home a similar move (GOAL 3-0). With 10 minutes left COP managed to pull one back but a mighty recovery was never going to happen. Full time 3-1.
